This is another attempt at my first posting of a blog under what I chose to call: "The Freditorialist" and since it's 3 days before Christmas I decided to post a copy of an excerpt from C. S. Lewis' book, Mere Christianity.
Here it is:

I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg - or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.

I recently received a hard copy of a book, “Right Wing Revolution”. The author - Charlie Kirk - gives a good definition of the term. Here’s an excerpt from the first page of the second chapter that is titled: What is Woke? “... wokeness is a mental illness that believes itself to be the cure …” Kirk elaborates on that in great detail but I have my own definition. It based on Holy Scripture, from the book of Isaiah chapter 5, verse 20: “... I awoke this morning thinking of some facets of Creation that probably receive little consideration in light of observations of our physical universe.  Here are a few of those observations: 1.   Everything G-d has created was perfect but still of less value and perfection than Himself. 2.   Everything in existence was created separate from Himself. 3.   Since He is eternal and of infinitely perfect wisdom, He cannot recreate Himself. 4.   It is necessarily essential that there is only one G-d. 5.   "In The Beginning" existence came into being with two entities:  Time and Matter/Energy 6.   "Space" is an undefined entity. The term is merely a place-holder to placate the human mind. 7.   G-d is a Spirit and He exists as both Father and Son. I was recently challenged on a phrase that I have used from time to time in the past and I would like to take this opportunity to expand a bit on that choice of words; Here is the phrase that I used (and I had never heard this before so I didn't copy it from anyone - it's something that I made up myself): Excessive Sobriety  It's a term that could be considered roughly equivalent or have connotations reflective of words such as "excessive introspection" or "painfully analytical" or "acutely melancholic" or "negatively inclined" or "overly critical" or "manically depressive".  Golly indeed! I do hope the reader gets the picture that I'm trying to portray.
